Nuclear plants getting worse in Japan

Another explosion tonight at a Japanese nuclear reactor indicates that the country’s problems are far from over. The debate in the US blogoshpere seems to have shifted to a discussion of how this will impact future nuclear power development here at home. It’s worth remembering that some very brave engineers are working around the clock to limit the damage from the current partial-meltdowns.

Hotair has a summary of recent developments. Also the NYT has a helpful graphic that provides a layman’s explanation of how the plant in question works and what’s going wrong now. Worth a click if you’re not familiar with the tech.
